Edward Cespedes has been practicing law for nearly 20 years. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Edward has always enjoyed solving problems and helping others. Growing up, he was the person his friends came to for advice, and he had a knack for persuasively presenting his point of view. It was only natural, then, that he chose a career in law that allowed him to combine his strengths as a problem solver and communicator.
Building on these natural abilities, Edward has developed professional relationships with defense attorneys and court personnel that have earned him a reputation as a skilled practitioner. His standing sets a high bar when negotiating settlements or trying cases.
Edward understands that clients don’t like to be left in the dark or be given the runaround by their attorney. That’s why he always takes a client’s call, especially when they are upset. Keeping an open line of communication at all times is essential to him building good client rapport. Clients’ trust and confidence in him is further bolstered by his ability to knowledgeably answer their questions and deliver good results.
Using his persuasiveness, problem solving skills, and knowledge of the law, Edward thrives at establishing a strong case—even when things don’t go as planned. When he was unable to secure a medical provider witness in a court case, for example, he used strategic questioning of the defense’s witness and document requests to prevail in the matter, despite not having his own client-witness’s testimony.
